Annual Parent's Day held on 4th January 2014

Click to Enlarge PictureAnnual Parents Day 2013-14 was held at College College Hasanabdal on 4th Jan 2014. Chief Minister of the Punjab, Mian Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. Besides the Chief Guest and other honourable guests, two Ministers from the Federal Govt., Khawaja Muhammad Asif and Mr Khurram Dastagir (both Abdalians) were also present to enhance the significance of the day.

After the arrival, Mian Shehbaz Sharif took a round of the campus to see the latest developments and renovation works carried out recently. Afterwards, he was escorted to the Oval Ground where he reviewed the Parade and occupied the stage along with the Principal. He was given the Guard of Honour. After the Parade by senior cadets, young cadets of junior classes displayed a PT show, which was followed by Gymnastics and Riding display. Airshow was the last item of this part of the program.

The second part of the function started with few verses from the Holy Quran recited by a cadet. After that, the Principal presented his Annual Report which was followed by the prize distribution ceremony in which the Chief Guest gave away the prizes to cadets for their achievements in different fields.

Later on, the Chief Guest delivered his speech. The hallmark of his speech was the announcement of Rs. 100 Million on behalf of Punjab Government and the same amount on behalf of the Federal Government, making a total of Rs. 200 million pledged on the day.

The function came to an end with tea and refreshments in the College Tennis Courts.
