Sarfraz Kiyani's leads the relief operations at Nowshera and Charsada

Sarfraz Kiyani (43rd Entry-Liaqat Wing) led a group of relief workers, consisting of his friends and family to Charsada on 1st August, 2010. This was supposed to be Round-1 of the planned visits into the flood affected areas. The following items were distributed:

  • 800 Emergency Relief Packs were delivered through Naval Marine Boats, Army trucks and Personal visits to effected places.
  • Each pack included:
    1.5 liter Mineral Water Bottle
    250ml Milk
    1 small bread
    10-12 dates
    1 pack of buscuits
    1 sachet of ORS

Round 2 of the relief exercise was carried out on 8th August, 2010 at Nowshera  and Pabbi.

  • 1000 Emergency Relief Packs were delivered containing bread, water, milk etc
  • 125 family packs (for 20-25 days) were delivered through registration of families from effected villages.
  • 1 Family Pack included:
    10 kg aata
    2 kg rice
    1kg daal masur
    1kg daal mung
    1kg laal lobia
    1/5 kg tea
    1 packet salt
    2.5kg ghee
    20 liter water
    1 set of utensils
