Capt Asfandyar's father visits CCH

A short but graceful ceremony was held on 14th October 2015 at Cadet College Hasanabdal to honor Shaheed Captain Asfand Yar Bukhari who was martyred in the terrorist attack in Badabaer in September. The proud father of the Shaheed Captain, Dr. Fiaz Bukhari, was invited to grace the occasion. Dua was said by Mr. Rashidul Hussaini. A short video clip consisting of different pictures of Capt Asfandyar was played at the Naeem Hall. The Principal, in his address, said that the Shaheed was a student and son of this College and CCH will always be proud of this association. Dr. Fiaz Bukhari was asked to tell the audience about his son, who spoke highly of Asfandyar and the way he fought bravely and selflessly and killed 14 terrorists.

Capt Asfandyar, 11FF Regiment embraced martyrdom while fighting valiantly against the terrorists who attacked PAF airbase camp in Badaber area on Friday morning, 18th September 2015. The 27-year-old soldier was leading his troops from the front during the clearance operation. Captain Asfandyar Bukhari was wing commander of 48th Jinnah Wing Entry and had received Sword of Honour in 118th PMA Long Course.

At the end, Dr. Fiaz was presented by a handmade sketch of Captain Asfand Yar drawn by Cadet Qudratullah of Class 9th Omar wing.
