Kamal Uddin Tipu appointed Chairman PEMRA

The government on Wednesday appointed Kamal Uddin Tipu as the Acting Chairman of Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority (PEMRA). He replaces Mr. Pervez Rathore as Acting Chief of the media regulatory body. A notification to this effect has also been issued.
Kamal Uddin Tipu (16th Entry) was Member PEMRA prioer to assuming charge of his new assignment. He was also posted as General Manager and Project Director to Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority (PEMRA) in Islamabad in 2007. Tipu, as he is more commonly known, is from the Police Service and was recently promoted to Grade-21.
Tipu is a well read and well travelled person and has special interest in literature and poetry.
