On May 11, 2013 elections Pakistani nation will choose a new leader. Eighty percent of Pakistani’s today believe that the Pakistan faces a leadership crisis—up from 55 percent in 2008—according to a poll report. Pakistan’s existence, the historic purpose and the vision of its founders must guide us in renewing Pakistan’s leadership and the role it is to play in the is age of ever increasing globalization.

To renew Pakistan’s leadership we must be guided by a clear sense of what we stand for. We have a significant stake in ensuring that those who we choose as our leaders and representatives are clear headed men and women, with personal integrity, determination, consistency and personal courage and compassion.  That our leaders live up our expectations and inspirations, and ensure to conserve and promote democracy and democratic values, and make Pakistan a safe, secure and progressive country.

With this background, Dr. M. A. Accordingly as good citizens it is our first and foremost duty and responsibility to choose our leaders in the forth coming general elections, with great care and responsibility – those who lead not only for themselves but also for the common good. The National Conference on, ‘Pakistan – Leadership at Crossroads’, is a ‘Progress’ endeavour in this direction.
